Sulfide powder-the characteristics of MoS2
MoS2 in the sulfide powder is the main component of molybdenite. Black solid powder with a metallic luster. The chemical formula is MoS2, the melting point is 1185°C, the density is 4.80g/cm3 (14°C), and the Mohs hardness is 1.0~1.5. It begins to decompose at 1370°C and decomposes into metallic molybdenum and sulfur at 1600°C. When heated at 315°C in air, it starts to be oxidized, and the temperature rises and the oxidation reaction accelerates. Molybdenum disulfide is insoluble in water, dilute acid and concentrated sulfuric acid. It is usually insoluble in other acids, alkalis and organic solvents, but soluble in aqua regia and boiling concentrated sulfuric acid.

Microfluidic tank-assisted nicotine sensing characteristics of field-effect transistors composed of atomically thin MoS2 channels
A study on the sensor behavior of a field-effect transistor: the transistor's doping consists of an atomically thin MoS2 layer, and the focus is on the interaction between the MoS2 substitution and the solution containing the target molecule. As a result, the researchers created a newly designed device in which the insert covers the source and doped electrodes so that the solution is only in contact with the insert. In addition, a microfluidic tank was fabricated above the channel as a solution reservoir. The FET characteristics of the device were examined to sense the nicotine molecule, thereby developing a detection system that detects the molecule in the human body under human conditions. The sensor behavior is detected during the die casting process and when the channel is in contact with the solution. In both cases, the leakage current and voltage of MoS2-FET with the adhesion of nicotine molecules are clearly observed. In the latter case, the threshold voltage replaces the increase in the concentration of nicotine in the solution and moves in the direction of the negative voltage. This can be explained by the transfer of electrons from the molecule to the MoS2 channel, which can be further proved by analyzing X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy and DFT calculations. The sensor can detect the change of nicotine concentration in the IPA solution by detecting the change of Vth of MoS2-FET.
