Production Method of Calcium Stearate
Saponification reaction 
First, the oil must be saponified with calcium hydroxide or calcium carbonate. In this process, calcium oleate or sodium stearate is produced, along with a large amount of glycerol and water.

The reaction liquid must be washed several times to wash away the glycerin and water in the oil. Add water, stir well, and then let it sit for some time in the washing process. After that, the supernatant is poured away, and new water is added for washing. This process is repeated several times until the glycerin and water in the reaction solution are sufficiently washed away. 
Precipitate 
Calcium oleate or sodium stearate needs to be precipitated to obtain a solid product of calcium stearate. Specifically, a precipitating agent (such as calcium chloride or calcium nitrate solution) needs to be added to the washed solution to undergo a double decomposition reaction with calcium oleate or sodium stearate to produce calcium stearate precipitation. 
Separation and drying 
The precipitated calcium stearate is separated and dried. Specifically, the sediment is filtered and washed several times in hot water to remove the remaining impurities. After that, the cake is dried in the oven to obtain a dried calcium stearate product.
