Synthesis of lithium stearate
Method 1: Dissolve 10 g of stearic acid in 100 mL of 95% ethanol, titrate with 0.5 mol/L of lithium hydroxide ethanol solution (if lithium hydroxide cannot be fully dissolved in ethanol, add water to make it fully soluble), use phenolphthalein as indicator, after the reaction reaches the equivalence point, extract and separate the separated lithium stearate soap. The crude product can be recrystallized with 95% ethanol to obtain the pure product.
Method 2: Dissolve sodium hydroxide in water to form a solution, add stearic acid to it, and then fully react and heat it to above 100 . Dissolve lithium chloride in water, cool it to normal temperature, and then add it to the prepared sodium stearate solution for reaction; After the reaction is completed, it is released and dehydrated with a centrifuge; The finished product is dried by airflow drying equipment.
