What is water-reducing agent?
Water-reducing agent is a concrete admixture that can reduce water consumption for mixing while keeping the concrete slump unchanged. Most are anionic surfactants, such as lignosulfonate, naphthalenesulfonate formaldehyde polymer. Adding concrete mixture can disperse cement particles, improve its workability, reduce unit water consumption, or reduce unit cement consumption to save cement.
Action mechanism of water reducer
(1) The structure of steric hindrance water-reducing agent has a hydrophilic branched chain, which extends in an aqueous solution, thus forming a hydrophilic three-dimensional adsorption layer with a certain thickness on the surface of the adsorbed cement particles
(2) Slow release effect of graft copolymer branch chain In the preparation process of a new water-reducing agent such as polycarboxylic acid water-reducing agent, some branch chains are grafted on the water-reducing agent molecule, which can not only provide a space effect but also slowly cut off in the high alkalinity environment of cement hydration, releasing polycarboxylic acid with dispersion effect, thus improving the dispersion effect of cement particles and controlling slump loss.

Development history of water-reducing agent
In the 1930s, it was found that adding sulfite pulp waste liquid into concrete could improve the mixture's workability, strength, and durability. In 1935, E. W. Description of the United States first developed a water-reducing agent with lignosulfonate as the main component and obtained a patent in 1937} s}. In the 1950s, slip-form concrete was widely used in dam and winter construction concrete in the United States. In 1962, Kenichi Takashi and others of Japan's Kaoshi Alkali Co., Ltd. first developed a water-reducing agent with R-tea sulfonic acid formaldehyde condensate sodium salt as the main component, called tea series water-reducing agent for short. This type of water-reducing agent has the characteristics of a high water-reducing rate; it is suitable for preparing concrete with high strength (compressive strength up to 100 MPa) or slumps up to 20 (II). Subsequently, in 1964, the Federal Republic of Germany successfully studied the sulfonated melamine formaldehyde resin water-reducing agent. This type of water-reducing agent and the tea series water-reducing agent also has a high water-reducing rate, good early strength effect, low air entrainment, etc. At the same time, it has good adaptability to steam-cured concrete and cement products with high aluminate content (mainly C3A); it can prepare high-strength or high-fluidity concrete. Germany invented flow concrete, which developed from manual pouring or bucket pouring to pumping construction, saving the workforce, improving work efficiency, ensuring quality, eliminating noise, and making a great leap in the concrete's technical level and construction level.

Price of water-reducing agent
Water-reducing agent particle size and purity will affect the product's price, and the purchase volume can also affect the cost of the water-reducing agent. A large amount of large amount will be lower. The price of the water-reducing agent can be found on our company's official website.
