What is copper oxide?
Copper oxide is an inorganic substance, chemical formula CuO, black oxide of copper, slightly amphoteric and slightly hygroscopic. It is insoluble in water and ethanol, easily soluble in acid, thermally stable, and decomposes oxygen at high temperatures. Copper oxide is mainly used to make rayon, ceramics, glazes, enamels, batteries, petroleum desulfurizes, and pesticides, and it is also used for hydrogen production, catalysts, green glass, etc. It is a black oxide of copper, slightly hygroscopic. Preparation of copper oxide powder
Copper powder oxidation method: copper ash and copper slag are used as raw materials for roasting and then heated with coal gas for preliminary oxidation to remove water and organic impurities in the raw materials. The generated primary oxide is naturally cooled, crushed, and subjected to secondary oxidation to obtain crude copper oxide. After centrifugation, drying, oxidizing, and roasting at 450 for 8 hours, cooling, crushing to 100 mesh, and then oxidizing in the oxidation furnace to prepare copper oxide powder.
