What is colloidal gold?
Colloidal gold, also known as the gold solution, refers to the gold sol with a diameter of dispersed phase particles between 1-150nm. It belongs to a heterogeneous system; its colour is orange-red to purple-red. Colloidal gold can be used as a marker in immunohistochemistry. In the past 10 years, colloidal gold labelling has developed into an important immune labelling technology. Research on colloidal gold immunoassay in drug detection, biomedicine and many other fields has been developed; colloidal gold, also known as the gold solution, is a suspension of gold particles formed by the reduction of salt into original gold. Colloidal gold particles are composed of a basic gold core (atomic gold Au) and a double ion layer surrounded by it. Closely connected to the surface of the gold core is the inner layer of negative ions (AuC12 -), and the outer layer of ion H+is dispersed in the colloidal solution; to maintain the suspension state of colloidal gold floating away from the sol, colloidal gold has many colloidal characteristics, especially the sensitivity to the electrolyte.

Identification and preservation of colloidal gold
Preparing colloidal gold is not difficult, but it is not easy to prepare high-quality colloidal gold. Therefore, the colloidal gold prepared each time should be verified. The main inspection indicators include particle size, uniformity of particle size, and whether there are agglutinated particles. Careful observation and comparison of the colour of colloidal gold in sunlight can estimate the size of the gold particles prepared. Of course, it can also be scanned with a spectrophotometer λ Max is used to estimating the particle size of gold particles. An electron microscope best observes the prepared colloidal gold, and some representative ones are selected for micrography so that the average particle size of colloidal gold can be measured more accurately; Good colloidal gold should be clear and transparent. Suppose the prepared colloidal gold is turbid or there are floating objects on the surface of the liquid. In that case, it indicates that the colloidal gold prepared this time has more agglutination particles. Colloidal gold can be stored for a long time in clean glassware. Adding a little antiseptic (such as 0.02% NaN3) can benefit preservation. When it is not preserved properly, there will be bacterial growth or the formation of agglutination particles. A small amount of agglutination particles will not affect the later labelling of colloidal gold. The agglutinated particles can be removed by low-speed centrifugation to improve the labelling efficiency.

Application of colloidal gold
The application of colloidal gold at the naked eye level; Colloidal gold replaces the traditional three markers and is used in macroscopic immune detection. In addition to the characteristics of colloidal gold itself, it has the following advantages: The number of reagents and samples are very small, and the sample size can be as small as 1-2 ul; Not required γ~ Valuable instruments such as counters, fluorescent microscopes, and enzyme-labelled detectors are more suitable for field applications; No harmful substances such as radioisotopes and o-phenylenediamine are involved; The experimental results can be preserved for a long time; The time is greatly shortened, and the detection speed is improved. During the gold labelling process, there is no covalent bond formation, which is the physical adsorption under a certain ion concentration. Therefore, almost all macromolecular substances can be labelled with gold, and the activity of macromolecular substances will not change after labelling. The experimental results show that the sensitivity of colloidal gold can reach the level of ELISA. When combined with silver staining, the detection sensitivity is greatly improved.

Price of colloidal gold
Colloidal gold particle size and purity will affect the product's price, and the purchase volume can also affect the cost of colloidal gold. A large amount of large amount will be lower. The price of colloidal gold can be found on our company's official website.
