What is chromium oxide?
The molecular formula of chromium oxide is Cr203 oxide, with a molecular weight of 152, dark grass green crystalline powder, a relative density of 5.21, a melting point of 1990 , insoluble in water, slightly soluble in acid, and magnetic. Common chromium compounds include yellow-green crystal potassium dichromate K2Cr207 with a relative density of 2.7, yellow crystal potassium chromate K2Cr04 with a relative density of 2.5, yellow crystal sodium chromate Na2CrO4 · 10H2O, yellow crystal lead chromate PbCr04. The above chromium salts are decomposed into Cr203 under a reducing atmosphere; It is the colored oxide of green glass; Under the condition of strong oxidation, the amount of high-valent chromium CrO3 is more, which makes the glass yellow and green; In a strong alkaline glass (such as high lead glass), the glass is colored yellow mainly by Cr03. Cr203 and CuO share an area of pure green. In producing bottles and jars, cheap chromium slag (the residue after chromite production) is often used. In the production of ceramics, it is suitable for manufacturing green glaze, red glaze (adding basic lead chromate 2PbO · PbCr04), gray glaze (adding ZnO), and yellow sleeve (adding TiO2). It is the raw material for manufacturing green color cement.
Crystal structure of chromium oxide
Cr2O3 has an aAl2O3 structure, and this corundum-type crystal is composed of octahedral voids formed by dense stacking of oxygen ions and filling of M ions. The ionic radii of Cr and O2 are known to be 0.069 nm and 0.132 nm, respectively 52, in the range of 0.414~0.732, so the coordination number of Cr+is 6, so in the octahedral gap, a chromium ion is surrounded by six oxygen ions. In the crystal structure of C2O3, oxygen ions occupy the positions of each lattice of the close-packed hexagonal crystal, and chromium ions are located in the octahedral gap of the close-packed hexagonal structure. In the close-packed hexagonal and face-centered cubic crystal samples, each array point can have one octahedral gap and two tetrahedral courtyards, so the close-packed hexagonal structure contains a total of six octahedral courtyards. To maintain electrical neutrality, only two Cr2 pairs of three o7. Therefore, only two-thirds of the octahedral gap is occupied by chromium ions. CP+can only fill two-thirds of the octahedral empty courtyards according to the composition ratio.

Use of chromium oxide
Oxides containing Cr.Y.ZrAl and other active elements can significantly improve the high-temperature oxidation resistance of the alloy because these active elements and their oxides can significantly reduce the critical content of oxidized elements required for selective oxidation of the alloy. The experiment shows that the oxidation resistance of the alloy is increased by 3 times after the thin layer of CnO3 - Y203 is deposited on the surface of 1Cr18Ni9Ti.

Price of chromium oxide
Chromium oxide particle size and purity will affect the product's price, and the purchase volume can also affect the cost of chromium oxide. A large amount of large amount will be lower. The price of chromium oxide can be found on our company's official website.
