What is chromium oxide?
The molecular formula of chromium oxide is Cr203 oxide, with a molecular weight of 152, dark grass green crystalline powder, a relative density of 5.21, a melting point of 1990 , insoluble in water, slightly soluble in acid, and magnetic. Common chromium compounds include yellow-green crystal potassium dichromate K2Cr207 with a relative density of 2.7, yellow crystal potassium chromate K2Cr04 with a relative density of 2.5, yellow crystal sodium chromate Na2CrO4 · 10H2O, yellow crystal lead chromate PbCr04. The above chromium salts are decomposed into Cr203 under a reducing atmosphere; It is the colored oxide of green glass; Under the condition of strong oxidation, the amount of high-valent chromium CrO3 is more, which makes the glass yellow and green; In a strong alkaline glass (such as high lead glass), the glass is colored yellow mainly by Cr03. Cr203 and CuO share an area of pure green. In producing bottles and jars, cheap chromium slag (the residue after chromite production) is often used. In the production of ceramics, it is suitable for manufacturing green glaze, red glaze (adding basic lead chromate 2PbO · PbCr04), gray glaze (adding ZnO), and yellow sleeve (adding TiO2). It is the raw material for manufacturing green color cement.
Use of chromium oxide
Lead chrome green is the main coloring pigment in the paint industry, and most green paints are prepared with this pigment. In addition, it is also used in paints and plastics. Its application range is very similar to that of lead chrome yellow. Because the composition contains chrome yellow, please pay attention to the toxicity of lead in its application. Lead chrome green contains iron blue and oxidant lead chromate, so spontaneous combustion is possible when dust meets sparks and is dry; it should not be crushed carelessly. The burnt lead chrome green completely loses the characteristics of green pigment and turns into a dark brown, yellow substance. In addition, when making nitrocellulose paint, the rolling process does not directly use lead chrome green to roll. Still, it uses mixing lead chrome green after grinding to prevent burning during the rolling process.

How to obtain chromium oxide coating with higher hardness
The three-cathode spray gun is used to spray chromium oxide coating to achieve higher coating hardness. The reason is that the plasma flow of the three-cathode spray gun is more stable, the higher enthalpy value can be obtained under low current, and the three-cathode spray gun can give the powder in the flame flow a higher acceleration ability, which not only ensures that the electrode is not easy to be burned when the spray gun works for a long time but also ensures that the powder is not vaporized, It can be fully heated to melt and deposited on the surface of the substrate with high efficiency to form a chromium oxide ceramic coating with higher hardness and better bonding strength.

Price of chromium oxide
Chromium oxide particle size and purity will affect the product's price, and the purchase volume can also affect the cost of chromium oxide. A large amount of large amount will be lower. The price of chromium oxide can be found on our company's official website.
