Musk has become the focus of attention in the global technology circle.

On June 6, 2024, SpaceX Starship conducted its fourth orbital flight test, and the launch site was still located at the Boca Chica Starship Base on the Gulf of Mexico in Texas, USA. Shortly after the launch, the booster rocket successfully landed on the sea as planned. The Starship flew for about an hour. When entering the atmosphere, the thermal insulation tiles fell off and the wing surface was burned through, but it finally persisted until it landed on the sea and completed all the established tasks and goals.

This test flight was the first time in the history of SpaceX's super rocket "Starship" that all tasks were completed. Musk, the founder of SpaceX, announced that the "Starship" successfully landed softly on the ocean and congratulated the SpaceX team on their great achievement.

In Musk's vision, "Starship" is a vehicle to send humans to Mars, which is also the core goal of his founding SpaceX. Thanks to the rapid development momentum, SpaceX's valuation is rising wildly. At the end of May this year, the media quoted people familiar with the matter as saying that Musk's SpaceX has begun discussing the sale of existing shares, and the company's valuation may reach about 200 billion.

Starship completes fourth test flight: successfully splashed down in the Indian Ocean.

According to the schedule provided by SpaceX, after the Starship ignites and takes off, the entire test flight process will last about 66 minutes. Subsequently, SpaceX announced that the Starship body was confirmed to have splashed down in the Indian Ocean, and the fourth test flight was successful.

Musk also announced the latest news for the first time: "Despite the loss of many tiles and damaged flaps, the Starship still successfully landed softly on the ocean! Congratulations to the SpaceX team for their great achievement!" Musk wrote on social media last Saturday: "The main goal of this mission is to fly farther when re-entering the atmosphere, preferably to withstand the highest temperatures."

"The strongest launch vehicle in history"

Previously, Starship has conducted three test launches. In the first test flight in April 2023, the rocket exploded a few minutes after takeoff. In the second test flight in November 2023, the Starship achieved the separation of the first-stage booster and the upper spacecraft.

In the second test flight, the rocket successfully took off, and there was a "rapid unplanned disassembly" after the two-stage separation, that is, the explosion of the super-heavy booster. About 15 minutes after the rocket was launched, the mission control center lost contact with the "Starship." After the rocket was launched, the first and second stages separated successfully, but then the booster and the spacecraft exploded one after another.

On March 14, 2024, the Starship made its third test flight. Two minutes and 48 seconds after the launch, the "Starship" super heavy booster separated from the spacecraft. The "Starship" spacecraft completed the engine combustion process and shut down the engine about 9 minutes after the flight, briefly entering Earth orbit. However, the "Starship" spacecraft lost contact during the re-entry into the atmosphere, and the test flight mission ended ahead of schedule.
According to the website of Space Exploration Technologies Corporation, the new generation of heavy-lift launch vehicle "Starship" is the world's largest and most powerful launch vehicle to date, with a total height of about 120 meters and a diameter of about 9 meters. The rocket consists of two parts. The bottom is the "super heavy" booster, which is about 69 meters high and equipped with multiple "Raptor" engines; the top is the spacecraft, which is about 50 meters high and reusable. NASA has currently invested nearly $4 billion in the project.

Starship, a nearly 400-foot-tall rocket, was reportedly built for NASA to transport astronauts to the moon, with the ultimate goal of one day sending humans to Mars.

In 2023, the United States launched 116 rockets, of which SpaceX accounted for 98. The former quasi-national team, ULA (United Launch Alliance, jointly established byBoeing and Lockheed Martin), launched only three times.

According to Musk's plan, in 2024, when only Falcon (including Heavy Falcon) is available, SpaceX will launch 144 times, and the mass of orbit will account for 90% of the global total, which is ten times the total of other companies. Once Starship matures, SpaceX's mass of orbit will account for 99% of the world's total, which is 100 times the total of other companies.

In terms of revenue, estimates show that SpaceX's revenue has doubled continuously in the past three years, from $2.3 billion in 2021 to $8.7 billion, and even achieved quarterly profits for the first time in 2023, becoming an important milestone in this business model.

Application of aluminum nitride ceramics in the aerospace field

Recently, aluminum nitride ceramics have been increasingly used in the aerospace field. According to reports, NASA is studying the use of aluminum nitride ceramics to manufacture engine blades to improve the efficiency and performance of the engine. The high temperature, high hardness and corrosion resistance of aluminum nitride ceramics make it a popular material in the aerospace field.

Engine parts: Aluminum nitride ceramics can be used to manufacture engine parts such as turbine blades, combustion chambers and nozzles. Its high temperature and corrosion resistance can improve the efficiency and life of the engine.

Thermal structures: Used to manufacture thermal structures such as heat shields, heat shields and heat pipes. Its high temperature and high hardness properties can improve the durability and reliability of thermal structures.

Avionics: It can be used to manufacture microwave circuits, antennas and filters. Its high frequency characteristics and high temperature resistance can improve the performance and reliability of electronic devices.

Aerospace materials: It can be used to manufacture composite materials and coatings. Its high hardness and wear resistance can improve the strength and durability of materials.
