Fire in Kuwait residential building kills at least 35 people - Fire-resistant building materials are critical

According to reports, a fire broke out in a residential building in Mangaf, Ahmadi Province, in southern Kuwait, killing at least 35 people and injuring dozens of people.

According to local media, citing Kuwaiti officials and sources, the six-story residential building where the fire broke out was a labor dormitory, and the cause of the fire was "the poor storage of many natural gas tanks on the first floor." The fire started in the guard room, spread to the rest area on the first floor, then spread to the warehouse where the natural gas tanks were stored, and finally spread to the rest of the building. "Most of the dead are Indian people."

According to a statement from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health, quoted by Kuwait TV, a total of 43 injured people of varying degrees were sent to the hospital for treatment, of which four died after being sent to the hospital. The medical team is making every necessary effort to provide emergency assistance to the injured and provide relevant support to the relatives of the victims.
