What is cuprous oxide?
Cuprous oxide is used as a colorant for making antifouling paint on the bottom of ships (killing low-level marine animals), ceramics and enamel, and a red glass colorant, and also used in the manufacture of various copper salts, analytical reagents, and materials for rectifying electroplating in the electrical industry, crop fungicides.
Toxicity of cuprous oxide
According to the Chinese pesticide toxicity classification standard, cuprous oxide is a low-toxic fungicide. The acute oral LD50 of copper master (WG, WP) rats is 1400 mg/kg, and the acute dermal LD50 is more than 4000 mg/kg. It has slight irritation to rabbit skin and eyes, and the subchronic oral LD50 of rats is 500 mg/kg and is low toxic to fish. The LC50 of a water flea (48 hours) is 0.06 mg/L.

Toxicity protection of cuprous oxide
When the dust content of this product in the air reaches 0.22~14mg/m3, it will cause acute poisoning after working for 1~2 hours, which is manifested as headache, weakness, redness of the throat, and conjunctiva, nausea, muscle pain, sometimes vomiting and diarrhea, fatigue, and temperature rise. After one day, the temperature can return to normal, but still weak, with headache, dizziness, accelerated pulse count, and increased lymphocytes. Chronic poisoning manifests as local skin, hair, and conjunctiva of workers exposed to copper compounds, sometimes turning pale yellow or dark green, with dark red or crimson edges on the gums. It isn't very pleasant for the skin. Dust irritates the eyes and causes corneal ulcers. For acute poisoning, gastric lavage with a certain concentration of K4 [Fe (CN) 6] solution, take the milk and other measures. The maximum allowable concentration in the air is 0.1mg/m3. You can wear a mask, dust-proof goggles, protective work clothes, and shower after work.

Price of cuprous oxide
Cuprous oxide particle size and purity will affect the product's price, and the purchase volume can also affect the cost of cuprous oxide. A large amount of large amount will be lower. The price of cuprous oxide can be found on our company's official website.
