What is nickel-based alloy powder?
Nickel-based alloy powder is the most widely used in the series of self-fluxing alloy powders. It has excellent comprehensive performance, corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, heat resistance, low stress abrasive wear resistance and good impact toughness. Low melting point, wide solid-liquid temperature range, strong wetting ability for a variety of substrates and WC particles, and easy operation.
It has excellent self-fluxing, wettability and spray welding properties. The spray welding layer has the characteristics of high hardness, corrosion resistance, wear resistance and heat resistance, and it is difficult to cut. Wet grinding is preferred.

Classification of nickel-based alloy powder
(1) Nickel-chromium alloy thermal spray powder: There are many types of thermal spray powder, such as nickel-chromium heat-resistant alloy, which is made by adding 20% chromium to nickel. Nickel-chromium heat-resistant alloys hardly oxidize at high temperatures, and are typical coating materials that are resistant to heat, corrosion and high temperature oxidation. The coating is dense and has good adhesion to the base metal. It is the transition layer material between the coating of ceramics, soft metals and other materials and the base. It can not only increase the ability of the base to resist high temperature gas erosion, but also improve the coating and base material. The bond strength.
(2) Nickel-chromium-iron alloy thermal spray powder: This type of thermal spray powder is made of nickel-chromium with appropriate iron added, and its high temperature oxidation resistance is slightly worse than that of nickel-chromium alloys, and other properties are basically the same as those of nickel-chromium alloys. Nickel-chromium alloys are close to each other. The outstanding advantage is that it is relatively cheap, so it can be used for repairing corrosion-resistant workpieces, and it can also be used as a transition layer thermal spray powder.
(3) Nickel-chromium-boron alloy thermal spray powder: This alloy contains elements such as boron, chromium and carbon, so it has high hardness and moderate toughness. After spraying, its coating is wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant and heat-resistant. It has good performance and can be used for anti-corrosion repair of shafts and pistons.
(4) Nickel-aluminum alloy thermal spraying powder: Nickel-aluminum alloy thermal spraying powder is often used as a primer, and each particle of it is composed of fine nickel powder and aluminum powder. When spraying, the thermal spray powder is heated to more than 600 degrees Celsius by the flame, and a strong chemical reaction occurs between nickel and aluminum, forming intermetallic compounds, and releasing a lot of heat. At the same time, part of the aluminum will also oxidize, producing more Heat. At this high temperature, nickel can diffuse into the base metal, which can significantly improve the bonding strength of the coating. Another notable feature of the nickel-aluminum composite thermal spray powder is that the surface of the coating formed after spraying is rough, so it provides an ideal surface for connecting other spray materials. The expansion coefficient of nickel-aluminum composite thermal spray powder is close to that of most steels, so it is also an ideal intermediate coating material.

Uses of nickel-based alloy powder
It is suitable for oxygen-acetylene flame or plasma spray welding process, and is often used for preventive protection and repair of corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant, especially sliding wear-resistant parts, such as wire drawing drums, cams, plungers, and conveyor rollers of rolling mills.
Precautions:
1. Please strictly follow the requirements of oxygen-acetylene flame or plasma spray welding process.
2. When using medium and small spray welding guns, it is advisable to use -150 mesh powder, and when using large spray welding guns, it is better to use -150/+320 mesh powder.
3. If the alloy powder has moisture absorption, or the storage period exceeds 3 months, it should be dried before use (120℃, heat preservation for 2 hours).
