What is activated alumina?

Uses of activated alumina:

Activated alumina belongs to the category of chemical alumina and is mainly used in adsorbents, water purifiers, catalysts and catalyst carriers. Activated alumina has selective adsorption capacity for gas, water vapor and some liquid moisture. After the adsorption is saturated, it can be revived by heating at about 175~315℃ to remove water. Adsorption and resurrection can be carried out multiple times. In addition to being used as a desiccant, it can also absorb the vapor of lubricating oil from polluted oxygen, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, natural gas, etc. It can also be used as a catalyst and a catalyst carrier and a chromatographic analysis carrier.

It can be used as a defluorinating agent for high-fluorine drinking water (large fluorine removal capacity), as a defluorinating agent for circulating alkanes in the production of alkylbenzene, as a deacidification regenerator for transformer oil, and as a gas drying agent in the oxygen industry, textile industry, and electronics industry. , Automatic instrument wind drying, as desiccant and purifying agent in chemical fertilizer, petrochemical drying and other industries (the dew point can reach -40℃), and the pressure swing adsorption dew point can reach -55℃ in the air separation industry.
