Production methods of Sorbitan Tristrearate
The product is obtained by dehydration of sorbitol to form sorbitol anhydride and esterification with excess stearic acid, or by direct heating esterification of sorbitol and stearic acid in the presence of a catalyst.
Add 1mol of sorbitol into the reaction vessel, vacuum and heat up for dehydration. After dehydration, press 3mol of melted stearic acid and 1kg of sodium hydroxide catalyst into the vessel. Slowly raise the temperature under reduced pressure, raise it to 180 ℃ within 2 hours in the Chemical book, then raise it to 10 ℃ every 1 hour. After 3 hours, raise the temperature to 210 ℃, keep it at 210 ℃ for 5 hours, then raise it to 220 ℃, react for 1 hour, take a sample and measure the acid value. When the acid value reaches 13-15, it is qualified, and stop esterification. Let it stand, cool overnight, remove the lower layer of coking material, decolorize the upper layer with an appropriate amount of hydrogen peroxide, finally heat up to 100 ℃, hot press to shape, and cool the packaging to obtain the finished product.
