What is titanium nitride?
Titanium nitride powder is generally yellowish brown, the superfine TiN powder is black, and the TiN crystal is golden yellow. TiN has a melting point of 2950 , a Mohs hardness of 8-9, and good thermal shock resistance. The melting point of TiN is higher than that of most transition metal nitrides, but its density is lower than that of most metal nitrides. It can be used as conductive materials such as electrodes and electrical contacts for molten salt electrolysis. There are two kinds of Ti2N2 and Ti3N4; Titanium dinitrogen is a yellow solid. It dissolves in boiling aqua regia. When it encounters a hot sodium hydroxide solution, ammonia will be released. The properties of titanium trinitride are similar to titanium dinitrogen.

Preparation of titanium nitride
It can be made by directly reacting titanium and nitrogen at 1200 . The coating can be formed by vapor deposition of titanium tetrachloride, nitrogen, and hydrogen mixture. Titanium dinitrogen is made by heating titanium metal in nitrogen or ammonia at 900~1000 . Titanium tetranitride is made by heating titanium tetrachloride in ammonia at 1000 ℃.

Primary applications of titanium nitride
Titanium nitride (TiN) is a reasonably stable compound. It does not react with iron, chromium, calcium, magnesium, and other metals at high temperatures. The TiN crucible does not react with acid and alkaline slag in the atmosphere of CO and N2. Therefore, the TiN crucible is an excellent container for studying the interaction between molten steel and some elements. TiN loses nitrogen when heated in a vacuum to generate titanium nitride with low nitrogen content TiN is a cash yellow structural material with a high melting point, high hardness, good chemical stability, negligible wetting with metals, and high conductivity and superconductivity, which can be used in high-temperature structural materials and superconducting materials.

What is the role of titanium nitride coating?
Titanium nitride coating is a universal PVD coating with a thickness of 2300HV. It is a hard coating material with mature technology and widespread application and has high hardness, wears resistance, and oxidation resistance. It applies to most cutting tools and high-speed steel cutting tools or forming tools to improve their machining performance, and it is also applicable to most forming dies and wear-resistant workpieces.

Price of titanium nitride
Titanium nitride particle size and purity will affect the product's Price, and the purchase volume can also affect the cost of titanium nitride. A large amount of large amount will be lower. The Price of titanium nitride can be found on our company's official website
