What is aerogel powder?
Aerogel is a solid material with the smallest density in the world. The density is 3 kg/m3. The common aerogel is silicon gel, which was first made in 1931 by Kistler, who gambled with his friends. Many kinds of aerogels exist, including silicon, carbon, sulfur, metal oxides, etc. Aerogel is a compound word. Here, Aero is the adjective meaning "in the air." A gel is a gel. This means air gel. A gel of any substance may be called an aerogel as long as it can be dried to remove the internal solvent and retain its shape.
Aerogel powder is used as thermal insulation material
The fine nano network structure of silicon aerogel effectively limits the propagation of local thermal excitation, and its solid thermal conductivity is 2-3 orders of magnitude lower than the corresponding glassy materials. Nano-pores inhibit the contribution of gas molecules to heat conduction. The refractive index of silicon aerogel is close to l, and the ratio of the annihilation coefficient of infrared and visible light is more than 100. It can effectively pass through the sunlight and prevent the infrared thermal radiation of the ambient temperature. It has become an ideal transparent thermal insulation material and has been applied in solar energy utilization and building energy conservation. Using doping, the radiant heat conduction of silicon aerogel can be further reduced. The thermal conductivity of carbon-doped aerogel can be as low as 0.013w/m · K at room temperature and normal pressure. It is the solid material with the lowest thermal conductivity and is expected to replace polyurethane foam as a new refrigerator insulation material. Adding titanium dioxide can make silica aerogel a new high-temperature thermal insulation material. The thermal conductivity at 800K is only 0.03w/m · K, which will be further developed as a new supporting material for military products.

Aerogel powder in energy storage devices
The organic aerogel gel will get carbon aerogel after the sintering process. This conductive porous material is a new carbon material developed after fibrous activated carbon. It has a large specific surface area (600-1000 m2/g) and high conductivity (10-25 s/cm). Moreover, its density varies widely (0.05-1.0 g/cm3). Suppose an appropriate electrolyte is filled into its micropores. In that case, a new rechargeable battery can be made; it has excellent characteristics such as large storage capacity, small internal resistance, lightweight, strong charging and discharging ability, and can be reused many times. The preliminary experimental results show that the charging capacity of carbon aerogel reaches 3 × 104/kg2, the power density is 7 kW/kg, and repeated charging and discharging performance is good.

Price of aerogel powder
Aerogel powder particle size and purity will affect the product's Price, and the purchase volume can also affect the cost of aerogel powder. A large amount of large amount will be lower. The Price of aerogel powder can be found on our company's official website.
