What is natural graphite?
Natural graphite can be divided into two industrial types: crystalline (scale graphite) and cryptocrystalline graphite (soil graphite). In the crystalline graphite ore, the diameter of the graphite crystal is more than one μ m, scaly; the ore grade is low but good optional; graphite-associated minerals, often mica, long stone, quartz, treble, pyroxene, garnet, a small amount of pyrite, calcite, some with rutile, vanadium and other useful components; the ore is scaly, granite scale or granular crystal structure, sheet, hemp or block structure. According to the fixed carbon content, crystalline graphite can be divided into high-purity graphite, high-carbon graphite, medium-carbon graphite, and low-carbon graphite. Hidden ink is also known as earthen graphite or amorphous graphite. In crystalline graphite ore, the diameter of graphite crystal is less than one μ m, and the aggregate of microcrystals can be seen under an electron microscope; the ore has high grade but poor selectability; the minerals associated with graphite often have quartz and calcite; the ore has a fine scale-cryptocrystalline structure, massive or soil structure. Crystalline graphite ore is mainly distributed in contact with metamorphic deposits.
Main uses of natural graphite
High-purity graphite (fixed carbon content more than or equal to 99.9%) is mainly used in flexible graphite sealing materials and nuclear graphite. Instead, a platinum crucible is used for chemical reagent melting. Lubricant base material, High carbon graphite (fixed carbon content 94.0%~99.9%) is mainly used in refractory materials, lubricant base material, brush raw materials, electric carbon products, battery raw materials, pencil raw materials, filling materials and coatings; Medium carbon graphite (fixed carbon content of 80%~94%) is mainly used in a crucible, refractory materials, casting materials, casting coatings, pencil raw materials, battery raw materials, and dyes; Low carbon graphite (fixed carbon content 50.0%~80.0%) is mainly used for casting coatings. Cryptocrystalline graphite is mainly used for pencils, batteries, electrodes, graphite emulsion, graphite-bearing ingredients, and battery carbon rod raw materials; no iron is required. Cryptocrystalline graphite is mainly used for casting materials, refractory materials, dyes, and electrode paste.
Price of natural graphite
The different price of natural graphite purity is also different. The market price of natural graphite is in the process of dynamic change. The natural graphite price can be found on our company's official website. If you need it, you can ask us at any time.
