What is ultrafine PTFE powder?

Ultra-fine polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) powder is a white, low-molecular-weight, free-flowing powder with stable molecular structure, excellent chemical resistance (resistance to strong acids and alkalis), good electrical insulation, and extremely high flame retardancy Performance, excellent self-lubricity, high weather resistance, aging resistance, good UV resistance, scratch resistance, scratch resistance, good hand feeling, good gloss, good thermal stability, wide temperature range ( -200- +300℃), and has good non-stick properties and recoatability. After the special surface treatment, the polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) powder not only maintains the original excellent properties of PTFE, but also has many unique properties: such as good dispersibility, good compatibility, no self-aggregation, no static electricity Effectiveness, high self-lubricity, reduced friction coefficient, etc.

Improve surface smoothness and gloss, improve product processing performance, low friction coefficient, enhance product surface lubrication; due to the high hardness of ultra-fine PTFE powder, it has good scratch resistance and anti-abrasion performance. Resistance to metal scratches. Technical index: Item Index parameter Content 99.9% Bulk density (kg/L) 0.5 Appearance Liquid white powder Average particle size (um) 2-5um Melting point (℃) ≥326

Use of ultrafine PTFE powder

Can be widely used in various solvent-based coatings and powder coatings: plastic coatings, wood paint, coil coatings, light-curable coatings, paints and other additives in products to improve its mold release performance, surface scratch resistance, lubricity, and resistance Chemical corrosion, weather resistance and water resistance. PTFE powder can be used alone as a solid lubricant instead of a liquid lubricant. It can also be used to improve the fluidity of the ink. As an anti-wear agent, it is usually added in an amount of 1-3wt%. It can also be used for non-stick coatings. The usual addition amount does not exceed 5wt%. The organic solvent dispersion can also be used as a release agent. It can also be used as an efficient anti-drip agent in various plastics such as environmentally friendly flame retardants ABS, polycarbonate (PC), polyurethane (PU), and polystyrene (PS).

The recommended dosage is 0.1-5.0% of the total dosage. It is added at the beginning of the production process. High-speed stirring is required to achieve the best dispersion effect. It is best not to place it in a sand mill or three-roll mill to affect its performance. If necessary, it can be pre-dispersed with an organic solvent and added as a slurry for better effect.
