What is Titanium alloy TA15 Powder?
Titanium alloy TA15 is a kind of near α titanium alloy, and the solid solution strengthening of α stable element Al is the main strengthening mechanism of the alloy.
Neutral elements Zr and β stable elements Mo and V were added to the alloy to improve the processability. TA15 has an Al equivalent of 6.58%, which belongs to near α-type titanium alloy with high Al equivalent, so it not only has good thermal strength and weld ability of α-type titanium alloy but also has the process plasticity close to that of α-β type titanium alloy.
The alloy has a moderate room temperature and high-temperature strength, good thermal stability and weld ability, better room temperature and high-temperature strength and weld ability than TC4, and the process plasticity is slightly lower than TC4.TA15 cannot be strengthened by heat treatment.
The working temperature of TA15 alloy can reach 500C for a long time (3000h) and 800C instantly (not exceeding 5min).When working below 450 °C, the service life can reach 6000h.
TA15 mainly manufactures aircraft, engine parts, and welding load-bearing parts that work for a long time below 500 °C.
TA15 semi-finished products include thin plate, thick plate, rolling bar, forging bar, die forging bar, forging, extruded profile, welded ring parts, integral ring rolling parts, castings, etc.

1.Chemical properties
The oxidation resistance of the alloy is similar to that of TC4.
The alloy is stable in the atmosphere and sea water and has good corrosion resistance.
Titanium and its alloys usually have good corrosion resistance in oxidizing acids such as HNO2.
The corrosion is serious in reducing acids (such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid) and increases with temperature and concentration.
Titanium and titanium alloys have excellent corrosion resistance in alkaline mediums, and the corrosion rate is close to zero, even under the boiling of concentrated alkali.

2.Processing performance
TA15 generally produces non-standard fasteners, not bolts, screws, etc.
The difficulty of cutting is similar to that of ordinary titanium alloy.
TA15 has good argon arc welding, contact welding, and submerged arc welding properties.

3.Applications of TA15 Powder
