Use of nano-silicon powder
Application of silica powder in plastics and modified resins: silica powder is used in plastics, especially in semi-transparent plastic films. After adding ultra-fine silica, its strength, toughness, waterproof performance, energy storage, and thermal insulation are greatly improved. Plastic structural materials can improve their mechanical properties by 1 to 3 times after adding silica powder. Modified resin-based composites can improve the strength, toughness, elongation, wear resistance, finish of the composite materials, anti-aging, and other properties.
Application of silica fume in paint and coating: silica fume is used in paint and coating (commonly used in mixed paint, primer, antirust paint, anticorrosive paint, road paint, square paint, marine paint, and other paints and coatings), which can reduce the amount of resin and dispersant used in paint and coating. It can not only play the role of filling, compatibilization, thickening, and extinction but also improve the fineness of paint, leveling performance, film hardness, arc resistance, and insulation. Research achievements of nanometer silicon powder
(1) The size and density of silicon nanocrystals in silicon oxide can be controlled by changing the amount of silicon-rich, annealing conditions, etc. The literature considers that the critical temperature for silicon nanocrystals is 1000oC, and we have determined that the critical annealing temperature for the occurrence of nanocrystals is 900oC through experiments. The high-resolution electrical image of silicon-rich silicon oxide with the amount of silicon-rich about 30% after annealing at 900oC can clear the silicon nanocrystals
(2) Electroluminescence of Au/(Ge/SiO2) superlattice/p-Si structure was observed for the first time. High-resolution electron microscopy of four-period Ge/SiO2 superlattice. The bright line is SiO2, with a thickness of 2.0 nm, and the thickness of the Ge layer is 2.4 nm.
(3) Nano-SiO2/Si/SiO2 double barrier (NDB) single well sandwich structure was grown on silicon substrate by magnetron sputtering technology, and the visible electroluminescence of Au/NDB/p-Si structure was realized for the first time. It was found that the peak position and intensity of electroluminescence oscillated synchronously with the change in the thickness (W) of the nano-silicon layer. Further experiments and analysis showed that the oscillation period was equal to the de Broglie wavelength of 1/2 carrier. The electroluminescence model proposed by our group was used for explanation.
