Hollow glass beads are a kind of glass microspheres with small density, lightweight and high strength. 3It has an organically modified (oleophilic) surface. Hollow glass beads are easy to be wetted and dispersed and can be filled in most thermosetting thermoplastic resins, such as polyester, epoxy resin, polyurethane, etc.
4. High dispersion and good fluidity. Since hollow glass beads are tiny spheres, they have better fluidity in liquid resin than flakes, needles or irregularly shaped fillers, so the mould-filling performance is excellent.
5Heat insulation, sound insulation, insulation, and low water absorption rate. The interior of hollow glass beads is thin gas, so it has the characteristics of sound insulation and heat insulation, which is an excellent filler for various heat insulation and sound insulation products. The thermal insulation property of hollow glass beads can also protect products from thermal shock caused by alternating between rapid hot and cold conditions. The high specific resistance and very low water absorption make it widely used in the processing and producing cable insulation materials.

4Adding 5% of microbeads can make the density of the coating from 1.30 will to below 1.0, thus greatly reducing the weight of the coating and preventing the phenomenon of wall coating falling off.
5Micro-beads have a good reflecting effect on ultraviolet rays and avoid yellowing and ageing of the coating.
6The high melting point of microbeads greatly improves the temperature resistance of the coating and plays a very good role in fire prevention.
7The spherical particles of microbeads play the role of bearing, and the friction is small, which can strengthen the active coating film performance of the coating and make the construction more convenient.
 
Microbeads are chemically inert and non-toxic. But because they are extremely light, they need special attention when added.
