What is micro silica fume?
Micro-silica fume is also called silica fume or condensed silica fume. When ferroalloys are used for smelting ferrosilicon and industrial silicon (metal silicon), many highly volatile SiO2 and Si gases are produced in the mine thermoelectric furnace. It is formed by rapid oxidation, condensation and precipitation. It is a by-product of large-scale industrial smelting. The main application areas of microsilica
Microsilica dust has excellent properties such as high refractoriness and is widely used in the refractory industry. In Northern Europe, a ferrochromium enterprise used the micro-silica powder slurry recovered from the electric furnace silicon smelting wet method as the return silicon source and mixed it with chromium ore to pelletize. The production showed that micro-cassia powder could enhance the cohesiveness of the chromium ore pellets.
In the metallurgical industry, most companies use micro-silica fume as a return material. Although this can reduce the environmental pollution caused by micro-silica fume, it does not make full use of micro-silica fume's magical properties. This is an extensive application.
