What is titanium nitride powder?
Chemical formula TiN. Titanium nitride powder is the most important titanium nitride and the basic component of other nitrides. Its colour changes with composition and dispersion from bright brown to brass. Relative density 5.22, high melting point (2930 ), very hard (microhardness 2160kg/mm2). Good conductor of electricity and heat, with superconductivity and metallic lustre. NaCl type tetragonal crystal system, lattice constant a=4.234 × 10-8cm Pure TiN is prepared by N2 acting on Ti powder at 800 - 1000 and can also be prepared by heating TiCl4 in an NH3 gas stream, which is stable at room temperature. When heated in a vacuum, nitrogen is partially decomposed to form a sublimate with less N content than TiN. Without interaction with H2, the complex oxygen-containing solid solution Ti (N, O) is formed by combustion in O2 gas, resulting in the surface from white (TiO2) to black. It forms TiCl4 with Cl2 under heating conditions. It does not affect cold water and reacts with hot water vapour to generate TiO2, NH3 and N2. It is stable for dilute acids (except HNO3). It is soluble in hydrofluoric acid when there is a strong oxidant. Soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid under heating conditions. Under heating conditions, NH3 and H2 are precipitated by a reaction with an alkali solution or molten alkali. It is a special heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant material, such as casting mould powder before casting steel.
Application of titanium nitride powder
Titanium nitride has good physical and chemical properties, such as high melting point, good chemical stability, high hardness, good conductivity, thermal conductivity and optical properties, which make it have very important applications in various fields, especially in the field of new metal ceramics and gold substitute decoration. There is an increasing demand for titanium nitride powder in the industry. As a coating, titanium nitride is cheap, wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant; its many properties are better than vacuum coating. The application prospect of titanium nitride is very broad.

Preparation of titanium nitride powder
The microwave carbothermal reduction method is an oxidation-reduction reaction with inorganic carbon as a reducing agent at a higher temperature. Liu Bingham and others in China prepared titanium nitride powder by this method. The specific operation follows: take titanium oxide as raw material, heat carbon with a microwave until the temperature reaches 1200 , and maintain the reduction reaction for one h to obtain titanium nitride powder. The purity of titanium nitride powder prepared by this method is higher than that by conventional methods; it has the advantages of low synthesis temperature (100~200 lower than the original) and short cycle (1/15 of the conventional method).

Price of titanium nitride powder
Titanium nitride powder particle size and purity will affect the product's Price, and the purchase volume can also affect the cost of titanium nitride powder. A large amount of large amount will be lower. The Price of titanium nitride powder can be found on our company's official website.
