What is Ti6Al4V?
Ti-6Al-4V (UNS designation R56400), sometimes called TC4, Ti64, or ASTM Grade 5, is an alpha-beta titanium alloy with high specific strength and excellent corrosion resistance. The oxidation behavior of Ti-6Al-4V alloy was essentially reported at temperatures between 600 and 1100 °C and for durations up to 300 h. It is the first time report the formability of titanium alloy Ti–6Al–4V in electromagnetic forming. The formability of Ti–6Al–4V in electromagnetic forming increased by 24.37% compared to the quasi-static. It is one of the most commonly used titanium alloys. The fatigue properties of Ti-6Al-4V alloy are so notable. Titanium and its alloys have similar properties of fatigue to steel alloys. The alpha phase tends to control the mechanical properties of this alloy when used at low temperatures. It has been determined that Ti6Al4V material will have a thermal emissivity between 0.3-0.4 if produced by the DMLS method.

During the heat treatment processing, grain recrystallization increased in all the alloys.
