How to make the Tungsten Sheet?
What is Tungsten Sheet?
High-purity tungsten is a basic material for manufacturing integrated circuits. The material shape can be foil film, sheet, target, filament, insulated wire, straight rod, round tube, powder, single crystal, and so on. It is widely used as gate electrode material, wiring material, and shielding metal material for large-scale semiconductor integrated circuits.
Tungsten plate rolling can be divided into hot rolling, warm rolling, and cold rolling. Because of the large deformation resistance of tungsten, ordinary rollers can not fully meet the requirements of tungsten plate rolling, so special rollers should be used. When rolling, the roll should be preheated, and the preheating temperature should be 100 ~ 350℃ according to different rolling conditions. Only when the relative density (the ratio of actual density to theoretical density) of the blank is greater than 90% can it be machined, and the machinability is good when the blank density is 92 ~ 94%. The cogging temperature of hot rolling is between 1350℃ and 1500℃, and the billet will be delaminated if the deformation process parameters of cogging are not selected properly. The starting temperature of warm rolling is 1200℃, and the thickness of an 8 mm hot rolled plate can reach 0.5 mm after warm rolling.
Advantages of Tungsten Sheet
The improvement of the integration of large-scale integrated circuits in microelectronics technology puts forward higher requirements for materials, and the traditional Si-based devices are no longer applicable. High-purity tungsten or ultra-pure tungsten (5N or 6N) is widely used as gate electrode material, wiring material, and shielding metal material for semiconductor large-scale integrated circuits because of its high electron migration resistance, high-temperature stability, and very high electron emission coefficient. High-purity tungsten target is one of the basic materials for manufacturing integrated circuits, and its market prospect is closely related to the development of integrated circuits. If the purity of the tungsten target is not high, the operation reliability of large-scale integrated circuits will be reduced, and even electricity leakage will occur. Using high-purity tungsten can reduce or even eliminate the influence of harmful impurities and improve the performance of the end product.
Production method of Tungsten Sheet
The preparation methods of high-purity tungsten can be divided into powder metallurgy, smelting, and chemical vapor deposition.
Powder metallurgy method
The powder metallurgy method refers to the process that tungsten powder is heated to a certain temperature below its melting point after forming and then densified through material migration, and finally, tungsten blank or some tungsten products with simple shapes can be obtained.
Melting method
The melting method refers to the process of heating tungsten raw materials above their melting point to form a liquid phase, removing impurities, and then cooling and solidifying to achieve densification. According to the different means adopted, the specific methods include vacuum consumable arc melting, electron beam melting, and plasma beam melting.
The chemical vapor deposition method
Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) refers to the process of taking tungsten compound gas (generally WF6) as a tungsten source, reducing it by H2 at a certain temperature, depositing the generated tungsten on a specific substrate, and removing the substrate material after deposition to obtain a compact tungsten blank (or product).
Price of Tungsten Sheet
Tungsten Sheet particle size and purity will affect the product's price, and the purchase volume can also affect the cost of Tungsten Sheet. A large amount of large amount will be lower. The price of Tungsten Sheet can be found on our company's official website.
