Metal Alloy 18g/cm3 High Density Tungsten Alloy Ball Properties

About Metal Alloy 18g/cm3 High Density Tungsten Alloy Ball:

Tungsten alloy ball (WMoNiFe) and Anviloy 1150 are made by refining metal powders at specific high temperatures using special high-temperature powder metallurgy techniques. This tungsten alloy rod material has a low coefficient of thermal expansion, good thermal conductivity, and good material properties.

Tungsten alloy rods serve as materials with high melting points and low thermal expansion coefficients at high temperatures. The addition of tungsten alloy elements improves workability, toughness, and welding. The performance of materials is based on eliminating heat treatment-related issues with other tool materials in the manufacturing industry of tungsten alloy rods. Tungsten alloy rod is made up mostly of tungsten, nickel, iron, or copper.

Properties:

Low thermal expansion, high density, radiation absorption, high thermal and electrical conductivity, wear resistance, perfect performance in high radiation exposure environment.

Applications:

Tungsten alloy ball have special properties, such as low thermal expansion and good thermal conductivity, sufficient electrical resistance, and high elastic modulus. Therefore, tungsten rods are widely used in various fields, such as support lines, lead-in lines, printer needles, electrodes and quartz furnaces, filaments, high-speed tools, automotive automatic products, and sputtering targets. Widely used in the aerospace, military, and medical industries.

Diameter: 1.0mm-150.0mm

FAQs of Metal Alloy 18g/cm³ High Density Tungsten Alloy Ball

Q: What is the tungsten alloy ball used for?
A:
The high density tungsten alloy ball, with its significant mass per unit volume (18g/cm³), finds application in various industries. It is commonly used for weights and counterweights in aerospace and automotive sectors, radiation shielding in medical facilities, as well as in military applications such as ammunition. Additionally, it can be found in sports equipment for balance and weighting purposes.

Q: Is handling tungsten alloy balls safe for humans?
A:
Handling tungsten alloy balls is generally considered safe under normal conditions. However, tungsten alloys may contain other elements that could pose health risks if not handled properly. Dust from machining or grinding tungsten alloy products can be hazardous if inhaled. Therefore, appropriate personal protective equipment should be worn when working with these materials to prevent inhalation or ingestion.

Q: What is the composition of the tungsten alloy ball?
A:
The exact formula can vary depending on the specific product and manufacturer requirements. Generally, tungsten alloy balls are predominantly composed of tungsten (W) with additional elements like nickel (Ni), iron (Fe), copper (Cu), or others added to enhance certain properties such as malleability or corrosion resistance. The density of 18g/cm³ indicates a high concentration of tungsten in the alloy.

Q: Is tungsten alloy suitable for use in jewelry or wearables?
A:
While tungsten alloy has been used in jewelry due to its durability and aesthetic appeal, high-density tungsten alloy balls, especially those designed for industrial applications, might not be ideal for everyday wear as jewelry or wearables. The hardness of tungsten alloy can make it brittle under certain conditions, which could lead to chipping or cracking. Furthermore, the safety aspects related to potential exposure to the alloy's components must be carefully considered before using it in items that come into prolonged contact with skin.
