How is Gallium (III) Oxide Ga2O3 Powder Produced?

Gallium metal method: Dissolve gallium metal with a purity of 99.99% in a non-oxidizing solvent, such as anhydrous ethanol or acetone, and then add an appropriate amount of hydrogen peroxide for oxidation reaction to generate gallium oxide. Gallium hydroxide method: Gallium hydroxide is dissolved in hydrogen peroxide solution and then heated through evaporation, cooling crystallization, filtration, and drying steps to obtain gallium hydroxide. Gallium oxide can be obtained by burning the gallium hydroxide at high temperature.

Gallium chloride method: Gallium chloride is reacted with hydrogen peroxide to produce gallium oxychloride, and then heated to a certain temperature for decomposition, gallium oxide can be obtained. This method is a simple and effective preparation method, but the cost is high and unsuitable for large-scale production.

High-temperature decomposition method: aluminum oxide and carbon are heated to high temperatures to produce elemental aluminum and carbon dioxide. The resulting aluminum is reacted with gallium chloride to form gallium chloride aluminum, which is then reacted with hydrogen peroxide to form gallium oxychloride.
