Lanthanum oxide is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula La2O3, which is a white powder. Soluble in acid, ethanol, and ammonium chloride, insoluble in water, and ketone. Rare earth lanthanum oxide is widely used, especially in glass, ceramics, electronics, and other fields. Mainly used to manufacture precision optical glass and optical fiber. 1. The raw material of the extraction method is a rare earth nitrate solution after cerium removal, which contains about 50% La2O3, trace CeO2, 116% ~ 7% PR6O1, and 30% Nd2O3. A rare earth nitrate solution of σ rxoy 320 ~ 330 g/L was prepared. Lanthanum was separated from other rare piles of the earth by 35 ~ 38 stages of extraction with neutral phosphine extractant dimethyl heptyl methyl phosphonate (P350) and a kerosene system of P350. The raffinate containing lanthanum was neutralized by ammonia water, precipitated by oxalic acid, filtered, and burned to obtain the finished lanthanum oxide. It is extracted from lanthanum phosphate ore or made by burning lanthanum carbonate or lanthanum nitrate. It can also be prepared by the thermal decomposition of lanthanum oxalate.
2. Put La(OH)3 into a platinum crucible, dry it at 200℃, burn it at 500℃, and decompose it over 840℃ to obtain lanthanum oxide.
